IMC would like to congratulate Tanya Habjouqa for winning the Global Health Council's 2006 Award for Photography for her work with IMC in Sudan. She also won second prize in the Disaster and Refugee category of InterAction's Effective Assistance Photo Contest. Tanya spent two years documenting IMC's work in Iraq, Sudan, Kenya and Uganda.
IMC also congratulates Asim Rafiqui, who was a finalist in the Global Health Council contest for his work in Pakistan.
Photographs communicate what words often cannot. Tanya and Asim have conveyed IMC's message of hope with great compassion and an artistic sensibility.
